Assistant General Manager/Senior Manager - Content Development/Training Manager for a Leading MNC
The role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact sales training and customer-facing learning content for sales teams, channel partners, and customers. The objective is to enhance product knowledge, solution selling capability, and customer value creation, enabling consistent growth and superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Training Delivery
Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training programs for:
- Direct sales teams
- Channel partners, distributors, and key influencers
Deliver training on:
- Product portfolio and solutions
- Value-based & consultative selling
- Application-based selling (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Data Centers, etc.)
- Negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills
- Support new joiner onboarding programs for Sales roles.
2. Customer &Partner Content Development
Design and develop customer-centric learning content, including:
- Product & solution presentations
- Application case studies
- Sales playbooks and pitch decks
- Product explainer videos and demos
- E-learning modules and micro-learning assets
Customize content for different customer segments:
- Electrical consultants
- Builders & contractors
- System integrators
- End users
3. Product &Solution Enablement
4. Learning Effectiveness & Assessment
- Conduct training needs analysis based on sales performance gaps.
Measure training effectiveness using:
- Pre-and post-training assessments
- Sales performance indicators
- Participant feedback and adoption metrics
- Continuously improve content and delivery methods based on insights.
5. Digital Learning & Innovation
- Support deployment of digital learning platforms (LMS, video libraries, mobile learning).
- Create engaging content using modern learning methodologies:
- Scenario-based learning
- Gamification
- Role play and simulations
- Promote self-learning culture within sales and partner ecosystem.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with:
- Regional sales leaders
- Marketing and product teams
- External agencies or content vendors (if required)
- Act as a subject matter facilitator during customer events, expos, and internal conferences.
Key Deliverables / KPIs:
- Improvement in sales team capability metrics
- Adoption and usage of training content
- Reduction in time-to-productivity for new hires
- Improved customer engagement and conversion rates
- Feedback scores from training and customer programs
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Marketing, or related field
- MBA or certification in Training / Learning & Development is an advantage
Experience:
6-10 years of experience in:
- Sales training, technical training, or product enablement
- Electrical, infrastructure, building solutions, or B2B industrial domain preferred
- Experience in customer training or content development is highly desirable
Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Functional
Strong understanding of:
- Sales processes and channel business
- Electrical / Low-voltage / Digital infrastructure solutions (preferred)
- Content creation skills using PowerPoint, video tools, and LMS platforms
