Assistant General Manager - Sales - Solar

Role Overview:

The AGM, Sales supports the General Manager by leading the sales organization, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring targets are consistently met.

This role often reports directly to the General Manager and acts as a key part of the leadership team.

Location: Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities :

- Strategize & Achieve Targets: Design and implement effective sales strategies to hit and exceed targets.

- Team Leadership: Motivate, develop, and manage the sales team to boost performance.

- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze sales data, monitor market trends, and capitalize on growth opportunities.

- Client Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with key customers.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing and product development to align efforts.

- Reporting: Produce regular sales reports and present insights to senior leadership.

- Performance Management: Conduct reviews and training sessions for the team.

- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

- A minimum of 5 years in sales management roles.

- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

- Strong leadership and team-management experience.

- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

- Proficiency with CRM platforms and MS Office tools.

Essential Skills:

- Developing sales strategies

- Leading and coaching teams

- Interpreting sales metrics and market dynamics

- Superior negotiation and relationship-building abilities

- CRM expertise

- Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

- Performance evaluation and talent development

Nice-to-Haves:

- Postgraduate or MBA degree

- Industry-specific experience (e.g , SaaS, B2B)

- Familiarity with advanced data-analysis tools

- Exposure to international markets or multi-location teams
