Looking for Procurement - AGM for a leading Solar module and EPC company, the ideal candidates should have experience more than 12 yrs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end procurement for solar module manufacturing operations, covering BOM materials, MRO, consumables, spares, CAPEX and OPEX.

- Mandatory: Candidate must have direct procurement experience within a Solar PV Module Manufacturing organization.

- Strong understanding of solar module BOM, manufacturing process, material specifications and supplier ecosystem.

- Manage procurement of critical materials including Solar Cells, Solar Glass, EVA/EPE, Aluminum Frames, Backsheet, Copper/Ribbons, Junction Boxes, Sealants and Packaging.

- Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category procurement strategies aligned with production plans and business requirements.

- Lead supplier identification, qualification, development and performance management for critical solar module materials.

- Develop alternate and second-source suppliers to ensure supply continuity and reduce supplier dependency.

- Drive localization and domestic supplier development for key materials wherever commercially and technically viable.

- Lead RFQs, tenders, price benchmarking and commercial negotiations with domestic and international suppliers.

- Manage global sourcing and import procurement for critical raw materials and components.

- Negotiate long-term contracts, rate agreements, payment terms, pricing mechanisms and supply commitments.

- Align procurement with production planning, demand forecasts, inventory norms and material lead times.

- Drive inventory optimization and strategic stocking of critical BOM materials and consumables.

- Develop procurement strategy for critical machinery spares, MRO and maintenance requirements.

- Monitor commodity prices, market movements, supplier capacity and supply-chain risks affecting solar module production.

- Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, price stabilization and working-capital optimization.

- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Finance and Stores to ensure uninterrupted material availability.

- Establish procurement MIS and dashboards covering spend, supplier performance, pricing, inventory, delivery and savings.

- Ensure adherence to procurement processes, commercial controls, quality requirements and supplier governance.

- Lead, develop and mentor the procurement team and strengthen strategic supplier relationships.

Mandatory Candidate Criteria

- Current / recent experience in Solar PV Module Manufacturing is mandatory.

- Must have handled procurement of solar module BOM materials.

- Exposure to Cell, Glass, EVA/EPE, Aluminum Frame, Backsheet, Ribbon, Junction Box and other module components.

- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations and global/import procurement.

- Candidates from general manufacturing, EPC, solar project development or solar installation backgrounds without module manufacturing procurement experience should not be considered.
