Assistant General Manager - Operations & Regulatory Reporting - NBFC

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Senior Assistant General Manager for operations, regulatory reporting and grievance handling at a reputed NBFC. The position is based in Chennai. Operations accounts for half of the role, while regulatory reporting, MIS, and grievance handling each account for a quarter.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Head operations across the business.

- Prepare regulatory reports and MIS for the regulator, the board, and management.

- Handle escalated complaints and those received through the regulator, up to closure, in coordination with the Internal Ombudsman and the Nodal Officer.

- Present complaints and service reviews to the board and its customer service committee.

- Identify the root cause of repeated complaints and implement corrective measures with the operations teams.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 18 - 25 years of experience in a bank or NBFC.

- Currently heading a large operations team.

- Experience in handling Internal Ombudsman or Nodal Officer cases.

- Depth in at least one or two of the three core areas, with a willingness to learn the others.

- Proficiency in Hindi and English.

- Graduate degree; a postgraduate qualification in management is preferred.

- Based in Chennai or willing to relocate.
