Assistant General Manager - Marketplace - Global

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & P&L Ownership

- Develop and execute the global marketplace growth strategy across US, UK, DE, JP, CA, and AU.

- Own end-to-end P&L for marketplace channels revenue, margin, ad spends, returns, and commissions.

- Identify and onboard new marketplace opportunities in key international markets.

2. Sales & Performance Management

- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through optimized listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.

- Track daily performance metrics GMV, ROAS, conversion, ASP, and contribution margins.

- Manage marketplace marketing campaigns including sponsored ads, deal events, and visibility boosts.

3. Operations & Process Optimization

- Ensure seamless catalog management, listings accuracy, and order fulfillment SLAs across

geographies.

- Coordinate with supply chain, merchandising, and logistics teams for stock availability and dispatch alignment.

- Manage compliance and marketplace requirements per country (taxes, legal, product labeling, etc.).

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with the Digital Marketing, Pricing, Merchandising, and Creative teams to ensure aligned brand communication.

- Partner with Technology teams for integration enhancements (APIs, dashboards, automation).

- Liaise with Finance for reconciliations, payouts, and marketplace fee optimization.

5. Team & Vendor Management

- Lead and mentor a global marketplace operations team.

- Manage relationships with account managers and category teams across Amazon, Etsy, Rakuten, etc.

6. Market Intelligence & Analytics

- Track competitor activity, marketplace trends, and pricing benchmarks globally.

- Leverage analytics tools to derive insights for campaign optimization and assortment strategy.
