Job Description:

We are hiring for the position of Assistant General Manager - Industrial Engineering & Production System for a Fortune 500 Automotive Parts manufacturer (Swedish MNC) in Bangalore.

Position Details:

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 20+ years in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Engineering, and Lean Manufacturing from Auto Component, Auto Ancillary, or Tier 1 Supplier industries.

Qualification: Regular BE/B.Tech (Must)

Job Summary:

- Responsible for implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies across TND sites

- Responsible for implementation of Industrial Engineering principles and strategies

- Provides direct support to plants regarding the application of APS/IE principles

- Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize

- Employs Lean methodology objectives as a Lean & Manufacturing Engineering specialist

- Mentors APS/IE managers to grow and develop their capabilities

- Must have strong fundamental knowledge in Industrial Engineering, Automation, and implementation skills in a cross-functional environment

- Capacity planning and new product launch expertise

- Drives Capex budgeting, preapprovals, and Capex realization

- Industry 4.0: Thorough knowledge of implementing digitization and automation processes

- Works with global teams as SPOC from TND to enhance APS and IE strategy

- Lead/Support new process/product development and new footprints

- Drive policy deployment across the business

- Mentor all levels of management to achieve a high level of APS (Lean) culture

- Lead critical/challenging intensive workshops (OPL, VSM/VSD, VS Matrix, Line Design, Kanban, etc.)

Deliverables:

- Drive lean culture in the plant by driving all enablers (5s, Quality first, Team eliminations, JIT, Standards, etc.)

- Achieve the TND score card as per road map

- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and ensure target cost saving achievements

- Facilitate waste elimination and bring efficiency in operations

- Oversee functional reporting and compliance across plants

- New project/product launches monitoring from IE

- Facilitate Line and Design workshops, CAPEX management, cash flow, localization, production machines, and automation

- Develop team at plant level to ensure APS/IE deliverables

- Drive digitization and automation projects moving towards Industry 4.0

- Ensure capacity to meet customer demand
