
Brownroof is hiring for a leading, well- funded EdTech player in the professional and higher- education space (backed by reputed global academic partners and with a large learner base across India and international markets). The role sits in the central product & strategy team and is positioned at AGM / GM level.
We are looking for an ex- consultant who has moved into EdTech / education product roles and now wants to own high- impact product and growth initiatives end- to- end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead GTM strategy for new and existing programs: market sizing, catchment- level assessments, customer segmentation, positioning, and pricing for India and select international markets.
- Drive market entry and expansion strategy, including business cases and detailed financial models (revenue ramp- up, capex/opex, unit economics).
- Own or co- lead commercial assessments / due diligences / portfolio evaluations for new initiatives, partnerships and strategic bets in the education / K- 12 / higher- ed ecosystem.
- Manage a program / product portfolio roadmap, identifying which offerings to launch, scale, revamp, or sunset based on performance, learner outcomes, and strategic fit.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Product, Academic Partnerships and Finance to take offerings from concept to successful, scaled GTM.
- Lead value- creation initiatives focused on revenue enhancement, cost optimization and process improvement across existing product lines.
- Build dashboards and simple governance frameworks for tracking performance, enabling data- driven decisions, and running post- launch reviews.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a strong problem- solving and execution- oriented culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile (please read carefully before applying): 6-9 years of total experience.
Mandatory mix of:
Strategy / management consulting experience (e.g., EY- Parthenon, KPMG, Deloitte, similar), and
Product / program / business strategy experience in EdTech / higher- education / K- 12- focused companies (e.g., large Indian or global EdTechs).
Proven work in at least two of the following within education / EdTech:
- GTM strategy, pricing and portfolio / program management.
- Market entry / expansion strategy with strong financial modeling exposure.
- Commercial due diligence / market scans / investment evaluation for education / K- 12 / EdTech assets.
- Revenue enhancement, value- creation or operating improvement projects.
- Demonstrated ownership of key workstreams or a smaller product / program portfolio with clear accountability for revenue / NPS / outcomes / launch success.
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders (CXO / founders / business heads) and global or cross- functional teams.
- MBA / PGDM from a Tier- 1 or strong Tier- 2 B- school (IIM / ISB / XLRI / similar) strongly preferred; strong academic track record.
- Strong problem- solving, structured communication, and comfort with business/financial models; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with analytics / BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL) is a plus.
