Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly process-oriented and analytically strong leader to own and scale our Renewal Sales function. This role is critical to improving retention, LTV, and predictable revenue through structured processes, data-driven decision-making, and high-performing renewal teams.
The ideal candidate is a premium B-school graduate with experience in sales operations, renewals, retention, or revenue management, preferably in ed-tech, SaaS, or subscription-led businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Renewal Strategy & Ownership:
- Own end-to-end renewal revenue across domestic and international markets
- Design and execute renewal playbooks for different cohorts (new, repeat, long-term learners)
- Drive improvements in renewal %, ARPU, and LTV
2. Process Design & Optimization:
- Build structured renewal processes across lead allocation, follow-ups, escalation, and closure
- Define SOPs, cadences, and workflows for the renewal sales team
- Continuously identify opportunities and improve efficiency using data
3. Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze key metrics:
- Renewal rate o Churn reasons
- Conversion by cohort / course / counselor
- Revenue leakage
- Build dashboards and weekly/monthly reports for leadership
- Use insights to drive experiments and improvements
4. Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Renewal Counselors / Executives
- Set clear targets, KRAs, and performance benchmarks
- Conduct regular reviews, training, and feedback sessions
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Academic Ops, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams
- Share renewal insights to influence curriculum quality, engagement, and customer experience
- Partner with tech teams to improve CRM and automation
Candidate Profile:
Must-Have:
- MBA from a premium B-school
- 3-8 years of experience in renewals, sales operations, retention, or revenue roles
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with data, dashboards, and funnels
- Highly process-driven with ability to scale systems and teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Good-to-Have:
- Experience in ed-tech, SaaS, subscription, or consumer internet businesses
- Prior exposure to international markets (US / Middle East)
- Experience working with CRMs like LeadSquared, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
