ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are hiring on behalf of a leading and rapidly growing organization in the Renewable Energy & Manufacturing sector for the position of Assistant General Manager Finance Controller.

This is a high-impact leadership role for finance professionals who have strong experience in Manufacturing Finance, Plant Controllership, Costing, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, and Business Partnering.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the complete finance function of a strategic manufacturing plant, ensuring financial governance, operational excellence, statutory compliance, and driving business performance through robust financial controls and decision support.

POSITION DETAILS:

Designation: Assistant General Manager Finance Controller

Experience: 914 Years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory OR MBA In Finance

Location: Supa, Near Ahmednagar, Maharashtra (Approx. 90 km from Pune)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Controllership:

- Lead the end-to-end finance function for the manufacturing plant.

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

- Drive robust financial governance and internal controls.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgets, and rolling forecasts.

- Conduct monthly variance analysis and profitability reviews.

- Present financial insights and business performance reports to senior management.

- Support strategic business decisions through data-driven financial analysis.

3. Manufacturing Costing:

- Manage product costing, standard costing, and cost allocation.

- Analyze material, labour, and overhead costs.

- Monitor manufacturing variances and identify cost optimization opportunities.

- Drive productivity improvement and margin enhancement initiatives.

4. Inventory & Working Capital Management:

- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.

- Review inventory valuation, ageing, reconciliation, and stock verification.

- Drive initiatives to optimize working capital and improve inventory efficiency.

5. Commercial Finance:

- Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams on commercial and financial matters.

- Review vendor payments, procurement controls, and commercial transactions.

- Monitor CAPEX and OPEX spending to ensure budget adherence.

6. MIS & Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly MIS, Plant P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and KPI dashboards.

- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations.

- Present periodic financial reviews to plant and corporate leadership.

7. Audit & Compliance:

- Coordinate Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, and Tax Audit.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and applicable accounting standards.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and improve governance practices.

8. Fixed Assets Management:

- Manage capitalization, CWIP, depreciation, asset register, and physical verification.

- Ensure compliance with accounting and statutory requirements related to fixed assets.

9. Business Partnering:

- Work closely with the Plant Head and cross-functional leadership teams to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

- Provide commercial insights and financial guidance for key business decisions.

- Support continuous process improvement and digital finance initiatives.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

We are looking for professionals who possess:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, Or MBA in Finance.

- 914 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Plant Finance.

- Strong expertise in Financial Controllership, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, FP&A, MIS, Working Capital Management, Inventory Accounting, Internal Controls, and Statutory Compliance.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI/CO.

- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence strategic decision-making.

- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED INDUSTRY BACKGROUND:

Candidates from the following industries will be preferred: Renewable Energy, Wind Energy, Solar Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Capital Goods, Automotive, Auto Components, Industrial Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment, Power, EPC, Steel, Cement, Process Manufacturing.
