Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber AGM Data Management (Director level) to spearhead our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) initiatives.

In this strategic leadership role, you will act as a "Data Custodian and Architect," responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle across a massive organizational span.

You will oversee a high-performing team of 75+ data professionals, driving the strategy, execution, and delivery of complex data programs.

This role bridges the gap between high-level US data strategy and local India practice execution, requiring a leader who can navigate Data Governance, Cloud Migrations, and Large-scale Data Engineering with technical depth and managerial maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Large-Scale Practice Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 75+ data engineers, architects, and analysts to deliver mission-critical data projects across the global organization.

- Strategic Execution: Partner closely with the India Data Practice Head and US Data Leaders to define and execute a cohesive enterprise data strategy.

- Team Mentorship & Growth: Directly lead and mentor Managers and Team Leads; take full accountability for hiring, retention, motivation, and professional development within your span of control.

- Data Governance & Quality: Architect and enforce robust Data Governance frameworks and Data Quality standards to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of enterprise information.

- Modern Data Architecture: Oversee the transition and optimization of data assets on the cloud, leveraging Azure or OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) to build scalable data ecosystems.

- Lifecycle Management: Direct the design and implementation of complex ETL/ELT processes, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes to support advanced analytics and reporting.

- Operational Excellence: Manage the operational aspects of the data practice, including budget allocation, resource utilization, and delivery timelines for large-scale programs.

- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical and strategic interface between local execution teams and international leadership, ensuring alignment on KPIs and milestones.

Technical Requirements:

- Enterprise Data Management (EDM): 15+ years of experience with a proven track record of leading data programs for at least 8+ years.

- ETL & Database Mastery: Deep hands-on background with Informatica ETL and Oracle Database environments.

- Cloud Data Expertise: Strong experience architecting data solutions on Azure Data Lake/Synapse or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

- Data Architecture: Solid understanding of Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, and Big Data technologies.

- Advanced SQL: Mastery of SQL for complex data manipulation, performance tuning, and architectural validation.

- Governance Tooling: Familiarity with data cataloging and governance tools (e., Collibra, Informatica Axon, or Azure Purview).

Preferred Skills:

- Multi-Cloud Strategy: Experience managing data migration projects from on-premise Oracle environments to multi-cloud setups.

- AI/ML Integration: Understanding of how to structure data pipelines to feed downstream Machine Learning and AI models.

- Agile at Scale: Experience leading data teams within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar large-scale Agile environment.
