Role Summary:

The Senior Manager / AGM - Design & Coordination will serve as the Design Head for all hospitality initiatives, primarily focusing on hotel projects. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the entire design lifecycle-from conceptualization and consultant coordination to design approvals and execution support-ensuring design excellence aligned with brand standards and the reputed company's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership & Strategy - Lead and manage the overall design vision and development of luxury hotel projects. Work closely with brand operators, consultants, and internal teams to align design direction with brand identity and functional requirements. Review and approve design concepts, architectural drawings, interiors, and MEP layouts for compliance with statutory and brand guidelines.

2. Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination - Appoint and coordinate with external consultants including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, structural and MEP consultants. Act as the single point of contact between consultants, internal departments (projects, planning, procurement), and external specialist operators. Ensure timely design deliverables, approvals, and conflict resolution across disciplines.

3. Project & Design Management - Drive the design process in accordance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Conduct regular design coordination meetings, drawing reviews, and site inspections. Oversee design change management and value engineering initiatives while maintaining aesthetics and functionality.

4. Regulatory & Technical Oversight - Ensure designs comply with local by-laws, fire norms, and environmental regulations. Review BOQs and specifications to ensure alignment with approved design intent. Collaborate with the execution team to ensure design adherence on-site.

Key Requirements:

1. Educational Background: B. Arch. or M. Arch. (preferred) from a reputed institution. Architecture degree is Must.

2. Experience: Minimum 12 years in architecture/design, with at least 5 years in hotel/ hospitality projects with real estate developers, hotel operators, or hospitality design firms. Interior designing experience will not be considered.

3. Strong understanding of hotel planning, operator guidelines, building codes, and construction detailing.

4. Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite) and project coordination tools.

5. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

1. Demonstrated experience leading design for at least one luxury hotel project from concept to completion.

2. Strong network of consultants and familiarity with major hotel operator brand standards.

3. Hands-on experience in high-end interior detailing and hospitality-grade finishes.

4. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong aesthetic sensibility.
