Role Overview :
The AGM / DGM Finance Controller serves as a strategic anchor for the organizations financial health, overseeing the entire spectrum of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. In this capacity, you will act as a key advisor to the leadership team, bridging the gap between complex financial data and actionable business strategy.
You will lead high-performing finance teams, collaborate closely with cross-functional department heads, and engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure absolute compliance. Your work directly impacts the companys bottom line by driving fiscal discipline, optimizing cash flow, and providing the transparency required for sustainable growth and investor confidence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Direct the end-to-end financial closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for senior management review.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of robust internal control frameworks to mitigate operational risks and safeguard company assets.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by partnering with department leads to align financial resources with strategic business objectives.
- Oversee statutory compliance, including direct and indirect taxation, to ensure the organization remains audit-ready and adheres to evolving regulatory standards.
- Drive process improvements in financial systems and ERP workflows to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency across the finance function.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and variance reporting to the board to support data-driven decision-making and long-term capital allocation.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting under relevant accounting standards, typically backed by a Chartered Accountancy qualification.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance through clear communication and professional development.
- Exceptional analytical acumen with the ability to synthesize large datasets into concise narratives for non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate cross-functional relationships and manage external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
- High degree of adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment, maintaining composure and precision during high-pressure reporting periods.
- Proficiency in leveraging modern ERP systems and financial modeling tools to automate reporting and improve the accuracy of financial projections.
