Job Description :

Role Overview :

As AGM/DGM Costing, you will be the driving force behind our manufacturing cost management strategy. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing all aspects of costing, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and procurement, providing them with the financial insights needed to optimize processes and drive profitability. Your expertise will directly impact the company's bottom line by identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring accurate product costing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement robust costing methodologies to accurately capture and analyze manufacturing costs, providing clear visibility into cost drivers for improved decision-making.

- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to create realistic and achievable financial plans that align with the company's strategic objectives.

- Prepare and analyze monthly MIS reports, providing insightful commentary on variances and trends to senior management, enabling proactive identification of areas for improvement.

- Drive cost control initiatives across the manufacturing operations, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities to improve profitability and competitiveness.

- Oversee the preparation of standard costs for all manufactured products, ensuring accuracy and consistency in valuation for inventory and financial reporting purposes.

- Develop and maintain accurate forecasting models, incorporating market trends and internal data to predict future costs and revenues, supporting effective resource allocation.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of costing policies and procedures.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive costing strategies and methodologies within a manufacturing environment.

- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to senior management.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex costing issues.

- In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices, including standard costing, variance analysis, and activity-based costing.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is highly preferred.

- Adaptable to work in a dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
