
Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned HR leader to join a leading group company in autocomponents for their Corporate office in Gurugram as Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager - Compensation & Benefits, with a dedicated focus on driving our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda through total rewards. In this strategic role, you will serve as the architect of our compensation philosophy, ensuring our pay structures are not only competitive and market-aligned but also inherently equitable and inclusive. You will work closely with the CHRO, business unit heads, and the talent acquisition team to design frameworks that attract top-tier diverse talent while retaining our high-performing workforce. By leveraging data-driven insights, you will directly influence our organizational culture, ensuring that our reward mechanisms foster a sense of belonging and fairness across all levels of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that align with business objectives while proactively identifying and closing gender or demographic pay gaps to ensure internal equity.
- Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, including salary benchmarking, merit increases, and bonus distributions, to maintain our position as an employer of choice in a competitive market.
- Partner with leadership to refine performance management frameworks, ensuring that appraisal processes are objective, transparent, and free from unconscious bias.
- Analyze complex compensation data to provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making regarding organizational restructuring and talent investment.
- Oversee the administration of benefits programs, continuously evaluating their effectiveness in supporting a diverse workforce with varying needs and life stages.
- Collaborate with the DEI council to integrate inclusive reward practices into the broader employee value proposition, enhancing engagement and long-term retention.
Required Skillset:
1. Professional Qualifications:
- MBA with 10-15 years experience in heading Compensation & Benefits for organization.
- A postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field from a premier institute, complemented by 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in rewards management.
2. Technical & Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing complex compensation structures and incentive plans, with a proven ability to translate market data into sustainable pay strategies.
- Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret large datasets to identify trends, perform pay equity audits, and present findings to executive leadership.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating sensitive conversations with senior management and influencing organizational policy through credible, data-backed recommendations.
- Deep understanding of performance management systems and their intersection with total rewards, ensuring that high performance is recognized and rewarded equitably.
- High degree of adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Gurugram, where you will be expected to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive cultural change.
