Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AGM/DGM - API to drive growth and excellence within our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) business in Mumbai. This pivotal role involves spearheading sales & marketing initiatives, ensuring stringent quality standards through plant audits and QA/QC oversight, staying ahead of industry trends via robust R&D understanding, and ultimately contributing to the company's market leadership.


You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, production, quality assurance, and R&D, as well as interact with key clients and stakeholders. Your expertise will directly impact product quality, customer satisfaction, and the overall profitability of the API business.


Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share for API products.

- Conduct and oversee plant audits to ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

- Manage QA/QC processes to maintain the highest levels of product quality and consistency.

- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to identify new opportunities and challenges.

- Lead and support R&D initiatives to develop new API products and improve existing processes.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including pharmaceutical companies and distributors.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.

- Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and quality metrics to senior management.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies for API products.

- Proven expertise in conducting plant audits and ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements.

- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and methodologies in the pharmaceutical industry.

- Excellent understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in the API market.

- Ability to lead and support R&D initiatives to develop new products and improve existing processes.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
