POSITION SUMMARY:
- Submit necessary representations to the Central Govt. to retain the existing duty exemptions and benefit of other schemes ( IGCRD , RoDTEP etc).
- Give new suggestions to the Central Govt. "as budget proposals" which will support the growth of AFCI business.
- Identify risks that AFCI faces (like anti-dumping duty, QCO, withdrawal of notifications etc. ) and advise the management how to avoid or address them.
- Give necessary advises to various departments with regard to duty exemption and classification (HSN Code) of import materials
- Liaison with concerned Govt. departments, whenever necessary, for smooth functioning of daily import, export and billing activities.
- Handle Audit conducted by various Govt. Departments viz. GST, Customs, Central Excise, and Export Inspection Agency .
- Establish system and process to support Import/Export/GST/DGFT activities whenever there is change in rules and procedures.
- Submit replies to Letters / Queries/ Show Cause Notices received from Customs / GST / SEZ / DGFT and Central Excise Departments.
- Litigate disputed matters at appropriate forum and file appeals before Appellate Tribunals and High Court through leading attorneys for favourable order
- Stay updated on the latest trade and tariff regulations. Watch Customs , GST, DGFT Notifications/circulars / public notices / policy changes on regular basis and pick up the points useful to AFCI and initiate actions to get the possible financial benefit.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, classification of goods, including customs tariffs, and regulations concerning precious metals like gold and palladium
- Review RM / Inputs list with Engg. Team on regular basis and add more eligible items in the IGCRD list to get optimal duty benefit to the company and remove ineligible items to avoid any issue in future.
- Customise the ERP with the help of IS Team based on various requirements from Customs / GST departments.
- Monitor all activities of Bonded Warehouse and ensure proper record maintenance and submission of returns.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and make contribution for the growth of the company.
- Preparation and submission of application for incentive under SPECS scheme and avail the benefit by driving & co-ordinating with the Ministry of Electronics & PMA .
- Any other responsibilities that the Management may entrust from time to time.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education - MBA ( Preferably with International Business) / LLB
Experience:
- 20+ years of experience in Manufacturing domain (Through knowledge in Customs, GST, SEZ, MOOWR, FTP and International Trades Rules, Regulations & procedures
