Assistant General Manager- Aluminum Extrusion

Description: Job Purpose: To lead, manage, and optimize all aspects of the aluminum extrusion department, ensuring targets are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.

- Production Planning & Execution: - Develop and implement production schedules, monitor daily output, manage resources (people, machines, materials).

- Process Optimization: - Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements (Lean/CI), reduce scrap, enhance efficiency, and control manufacturing costs.

- Quality Management: - Ensure adherence to ISO/IATF standards, maintain product quality, and drive quality control initiatives.

- Safety & Compliance: - Champion plant safety culture, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulations.

- Team Leadership: - Recruit, train, motivate, and develop production staff; manage performance and foster employee engagement.

- Maintenance & Equipment: - Coordinate with maintenance for equipment upkeep, manage tooling, and troubleshoot production issues.

- Reporting & Collaboration: - Analyze production metrics (KPIs), report performance, and collaborate with design, supply chain, and other departments.

Qualifications:

- Education: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production) or related field.

- Experience: - Extensive experience in aluminium extrusion, die casting, or similar heavy manufacturing, plus proven leadership in a production role (5+ years).

- Technical Skills: - Deep knowledge of extrusion processes, quality systems (ISO), ERP/MIS, process control, and safety standards.

- Soft Skills: - Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and team-building abilities.
