Assistant General Manager - AI & ML - Banking/FinTech

Hiring: Assistant General Manager (AGM) - AI & ML for a leading Bank - Chennai. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute banks-wide AI/ML & GenAI roadmap aligned with digital growth, risk mitigation, and hyper-personalized customer experiences.

- Lead the lifecycle of predictive engines and modern GenAI copilots across Retail Banking, SME/MSME Lending, Risk Management, Treasury, and Operations.

Architecture:

- Establish enterprise-grade MLOps, explainable AI (XAI) frameworks, model monitoring, and robust data security compliant with RBI regulations.

Build & Scale Teams:

- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Engineers while collaborating with key business stakeholders.

- 15 - 20 years in IT, Software Engineering, and Advanced Analytics, with a track record of deploying 10+ commercial AI/ML models in Production within Banking/Fintech environments.

Core Tech Stack:

- ML/DL: XGBoost, LightGBM, Random Forests, Neural Networks, CNNs, LSTMs, NLP, Computer Vision.

- GenAI & LLMs: RAG pipelines, LangChain/LlamaIndex, Agentic workflows, Prompt Engineering, Enterprise Fine-tuning.

- MLOps & Infrastructure: Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, and Hybrid Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Domain Expertise:

- Core Banking Systems, credit bureau integrations, loan origination/underwriting, fraud analytics, and transaction monitoring.

Education:

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant disciplines.
