Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Chartered Accountant to join our finance leadership team in Mumbai as an Assistant Finance Manager. In this capacity, you will serve as a critical bridge between strategic financial planning and operational excellence, overseeing end-to-end accounting processes, statutory compliance, and rigorous financial reporting. You will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional department heads, and external auditors to ensure the integrity of our financial data. By driving process efficiencies and providing actionable insights, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our fiscal health and supporting the organizations long-term growth objectives in a fast-paced, competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings, to mitigate financial risk and ensure adherence to local regulations.
- Lead the annual audit process by coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure seamless documentation and resolution of queries.
- Analyze financial performance variances against budgets and forecasts to provide management with clear insights for strategic decision-making.
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions to optimize cash flow and maintain healthy working capital cycles.
- Implement robust internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and improve the reliability of financial reporting.
Required Skillset:
- Possess a deep functional understanding of Ind-AS, IFRS, and local tax laws, coupled with the ability to interpret complex financial regulations for business application.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial modeling tools to streamline reporting and data analysis.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate financial narratives to non-finance stakeholders and lead diverse teams toward common goals.
- Maintain a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 7 - 10 years of post-qualification experience in a high-growth corporate environment.
- Show a high degree of adaptability to a hybrid work environment in Mumbai, balancing collaborative office-based tasks with independent analytical work.
- Display a proactive mindset in identifying process bottlenecks and proposing scalable solutions that enhance organizational productivity.
