Experience: 8-13 years in university/education admissions
Qualification: Masters degree (MBA / Education / Management or relevant field preferred)
Job Purpose:
- The Assistant Director Admissions will support the Director of Admissions in planning, executing, and monitoring student recruitment and enrolment strategies.
- The role focuses on achieving admission targets, improving conversion ratios, managing teams, and ensuring a seamless applicant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Strategy & Planning:
- Assist in developing and executing annual admission and enrolment strategies.
- Analyse market trends, competitor universities, and student demographics.
- Support forecasting of intake targets across programs (UG, PG, PhD, Executive).
Admissions Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end admissions processes from inquiry to enrolment.
- Ensure timely processing of applications, offers, and confirmations.
- Maintain compliance with university policies, regulatory norms, and accreditation requirements.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and monitor admissions counsellors and executives.
- Allocate targets, track daily/weekly performance, and drive productivity.
- Conduct regular training on programs, counselling techniques, and CRM usage.
Student Recruitment & Outreach:
- Coordinate school/college outreach, education fairs, open houses, and webinars.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns, lead generation, and branding.
- Build relationships with schools, junior colleges, counsellors, and partners.
Data, Reporting & Systems:
- Track admission funnel metrics: leads, applications, conversions, enrolments.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Ensure effective use of CRM and admissions management systems.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with academic departments, finance, marketing, and operations.
- Address escalations related to applicants, parents, and internal teams.
- Support scholarship, fee, and documentation-related processes.

- Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work under deadlines during peak admission cycles.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in private universities, deemed universities, or large education groups.
- Exposure to national and international student recruitment.
- Background in enrolment management or education sales leadership.
