Role - Practice Manager - Data

Experience - 15-20 yrs

Location - Chennai (Hybrid)

Role Summary:

- The role is responsible for leading and scaling Data, AI, and Agentic AI capabilities across the Data Team and Data Platform Layers. This includes architecting and delivering enterprise-grade data platforms, building AI-infused solutions and accelerators for data migration and deployment, and driving large scale transformation programs for clients.

- The role owns end-to-end delivery across Data Engineering and Analytics, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business outcomes. A key focus is on transitioning from isolated technology implementations to integrated, outcome-driven solutions.

- The role also drives pre-sales, solutioning, and governance, working closely with sales, clients, and internal teams to build a strong pipeline and deliver high-impact engagements. In addition, the role is accountable for developing talent, establishing delivery standards, and embedding Responsible AI practices across all AI initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture & Practice Building:

- Architect and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures.

- Partnered with Delivery Owners to design and execute scalable, production-ready data solutions aligned to business outcomes.

- Lead hands-on accelerators across data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and large-scale data migration programs, driving faster adoption and modernization.

2. Cloud & Data Platform Delivery:

- Own end-to-end delivery on Azure or AWS data platforms.

- Deliver cloud-native data solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization.

- Exposure to GCP and/or Alibaba Cloud is a plus.

3. Snowflake / Databricks Exposure:

- Experience delivering solutions on Snowflake or Databricks.

- Exposure to Lakehouse architectures, Spark-based processing, and cloud-native data warehousing.

4. IT Services Lifecycle, Governance & Solutioning:

- Drive Data, AI, and Analytics programs across the IT services lifecycle, from pre-sales to managed services.

- Lead end-to-end solutioning for Data & AI RFPs and proposals.

- Establish delivery standards, governance, CI/CD and MLOps pipelines, and data & model quality frameworks.

5. Client & Team Leadership:

- Act as a senior technical and solution interface for clients through architecture discussions, demos, and executive briefings.

- Mentor and grow Data, AI, and BI teams, building scalable delivery capability and future leaders.
