Our client is an international investment bank with a significant presence in Asia and a captive in India. Due to an internal rotation at senior management level they are actively seeking for an experienced individual in Investment Banking operations to run this team. As the Asia Head you will have regional oversight and be required to have strategic input into the overall development and direction of the function. This includes the management of the day-to-day activity while optimizing control, client service levels, cost and new business facilitation in compliance with regulatory obligations. Some of the key responsibilities will include -&nbsp; - Effectively managing the operational risk profile in accordance within the acceptable risk appetite. - Being part of the global management committee and gaining credibility with a broad senior stakeholder group - Having a strong input into the overall strategy of the function - Providing strong leadership to the team and proven people management and development skills - Having a good understanding of the regulatory landscape within which the role operates - Managing the cost of operations and partnering with Solutions Delivery to reduce costs. - Ensure that day to day operational business operates in line with agreed SLAs - Ensure internal and external expectations are met with respect to the role of the function as a second line of defense - Ensure a culture of escalation and a control mindset including promotion of and adherence to the culture and ethics standards. To qualify for this role you will require: - At least 15 years of related listed derivatives operations experience - A demonstrated track record of the ability to have an influence on the strategy of an organisation - A broad knowledge of Operations within an Investment Banking environment - A control mindset and an understanding of risks inherent in processes and how to mitigate them. - Sound judgement and decision making combined with strong principles of good conduct and ethical behavior. - Proven track record of leading and driving change in a proactive manner. - Must be a motivated individual, with good interpersonal skills and ability to across both Operations and IT.
