Assistant Manager - Tax

Job Description:

- Handle direct and indirect tax matters, including filing returns, addressing notices, managing assessments, audits, investigations, and appeals with relevant authorities.

- Prepare certificates as mandated under the Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other applicable laws.

- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, and PT regulations.

- Draft deeds and manage their registration with registrars.

- Advise clients on tax-related matters in consultation with partners.

- Provide support for various taxation-related activities and assignments.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- 1-2 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance.

- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws and regulations.

- Proven experience in leading a team of 8-12 members.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient knowledge in financial reporting, direct taxation, and indirect taxation.

- Experience with bookkeeping and inventory management.

- Hands-on expertise in Tally ERP-9 & Tally Prime.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Knowledge of WinMan.
