Area Supply Manager

Description:

- The candidate will be responsible for managing supply operations at the micro-market level, optimizing fleet utilization, and coordinating logistics to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

- Strong experience in fleet management processes and optimization (Mandatory)

- Proven expertise in freight forwarding operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods (Mandatory)

- Hands-on experience in coordinating short and long-haul logistics operations

- Ability to collaborate with and manage multiple vendors, ensuring contractual compliance and high-quality service

- Experience in advanced route planning to reduce costs, optimize routes, and ensure on-time supply execution

- Effective communication skills for seamless coordination with fleet operators, suppliers, and internal teams

- Analytical mindset with the ability to track KPIs and make data-driven operational decisions

- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records for fleet, freight, and logistics for audit and compliance

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage a fleet of 25-50 vehicles at the micro-market level and oversee 5-10 freight promoters

- Onboard Freight Promoters and Owner-cum-Drivers onto the platform

- Drive key operational metrics such as loading/unloading detention, PoD uploads, and turnaround times

- Train Freight Promoters in selling ancillary services

- Handle monthly billing of vendors and Freight Promoters

- Source and provide ad-hoc vehicles at competitive rates, lower than standard mandi pricing

- Ensure 100% documentation compliance across fleet, freight, and logistics processes
