Area Sales Manager - Modern Trade - FMCG - North India

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager Modern Trade to drive sales growth and manage key modern trade accounts across North India. The role offers the opportunity to lead a sizable business portfolio, build strategic customer relationships, and execute sales plans with leading retail chains.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a modern trade business portfolio across assigned territories.

- Drive sales, distribution, and profitability through key national and regional modern trade accounts.

- Develop and execute annual business plans with customers to achieve sales objectives.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across retail chains.

- Monitor sales performance, secondary sales, inventory, promotions, and merchandising execution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, marketing, finance, and category management to ensure seamless execution.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.

- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain high service levels.

- DMart

- Vishal Mega Mart

- Reliance Retail

- Walmart

- Apollo Pharmacy

- Metro Retail (MRL)

- Other leading modern trade accounts

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in Modern Trade Sales within a reputed Personal Care/FMCG organization.

- Strong experience in handling key modern trade accounts and driving business growth.

- Proven track record in sales planning, negotiations, account management, and execution.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.
