Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager Modern Trade will be responsible for driving sales, visibility, and execution across modern trade chains in Delhi NCR. The role includes managing key accounts, ensuring perfect store execution, leading promoter teams, and building strong relationships with category teams and store managers to deliver business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Modern Trade Key Account Management:
- Manage relationships with national & regional modern trade chains (e.g., Reliance, DMart, Spencers, Big Bazaar format replacements, Spar, More, 24Seven, etc.).
- Drive listings, promotions, visibility, and negotiate JBP/JWPs.
- Ensure accurate execution of agreements and alignment with category teams.
2. Sales Achievement & Business Growth:
- Deliver primary and secondary sales targets for the MT channel across assigned stores.
- Monitor sales performance, growth trends, and take corrective action to meet business KPIs.
- Ensure category-wise and SKU-wise growth.
3. Merchandising & In-Store Execution:
- Ensure Planogram adherence, FIFO, shelf-space expansion, and on-shelf availability.
- Drive visibility initiatives, promo activations, and additional secondary display execution.
- Regular market visits to audit store hygiene, stock levels, and pricing.
4. Promotions & Activations:
- Plan and execute monthly promotions, sampling activities, and festival campaigns.
- Coordinate with marketing & trade marketing to execute branding initiatives.
- Track ROI of promotions
