Role Objective:
The Area Sales Manager - LAP is responsible for driving business growth in the Loan Against Property vertical by managing sales teams, developing channel partners, acquiring new customers, and ensuring achievement of disbursement, revenue, and portfolio quality targets within the assigned geography.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve monthly and annual LAP disbursement targets.
- Drive sourcing of LAP business through DSAs, connectors, brokers, and direct sales.
- Identify new markets, builder tie-ups, and channel expansion opportunities.
- Monitor funnel conversion ratios and ensure healthy pipeline management.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and mentor Area/Relationship Sales Officers.
- Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, and performance reviews.
- Ensure productivity, motivation, and retention of sales staff.
Channel & Partner Management:
- Onboard, manage, and grow DSA/channel partner network.
- Ensure compliance, productivity, and engagement of sourcing partners.
- Conduct partner training on product features, policies, and processes.
Credit & Operations Coordination:
- Coordinate with credit, legal, and operations teams for smooth case processing.
- Ensure adherence to credit policy, documentation, and TAT.
- Monitor approval ratios, login quality, and disbursement timelines.
Portfolio Quality & Risk Management:
- Ensure healthy portfolio with low delinquency and early-warning signals.
- Support collections team for resolution of overdue cases if required.
- Maintain focus on asset quality and risk mitigation.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Handle key customers and high-value LAP cases.
- Resolve escalations and ensure superior customer experience.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and partners
