Title: Area Sales Manager General Trade
Location: Coimbatore
Experience: Min 5 years in FMCG General Trade (Team Handling Mandatory)
Role Overview:
The ASM will lead the GT sales operations for the assigned territory, driving revenue, distribution, and execution excellence through effective distributor management and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own primary, secondary & tertiary sales targets for the region
- Lead, coach & drive a team of Sales Officers / TSRs to deliver distribution and coverage KPIs
- Manage distributor ROI, stock norms, claims, and market hygiene
- Ensure flawless execution of monthly plans, promotions, and trade schemes
- Strengthen retail visibility, availability, and market share across GT
- Identify high-potential outlets, expand numeric & weighted distribution
- Monitor competition activity and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Drive beat planning, JCP adherence, and territory productivity improvement
- Lead new product launches and ensure market activation excellence
Requirements:
- MBA / PGDM preferred (IIM / Tier-1 & Tier-2 desirable)/MBA
- Strong FMCG GT experience with proven team-handling exposure
- Sharp business acumen, analytical mindset, and execution discipline
- Excellent communication, negotiation & stakeholder management skills
