Area Sales Manager


An Area Sales Manager in Delhi NCR drives sales performance by setting targets, creating strategies, and managing a sales team to achieve revenue and market share goals within the region. Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends, nurturing distributor and dealer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and overseeing day-to-day sales operations to expand the customer base and product visibility across Delhi NCR.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Target Achievement: Set and meet primary, secondary sales targets for the NCR territory.

- Strategy Development: Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.


- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.


- Distribution Expansion: Build strong distribution across cities of NCR and cater the regional channels distributors, and other stakeholders.


- Channel Management: Appoint and Manage channel/regional accounts and distribution networks to ensure product availability and effective sales execution.

- Market Expansion: Identify and acquire new customers while also focusing on up-selling to existing ones to expand the customer base.


- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing and other teams to create and implement effective regional sales campaigns and promotions.


- Operations Oversight: Oversee distribution, stock maintenance, and the proper implementation of promotional schemes at the ground level.


- Supply chain: Build and maintain supply chain of stock right from warehouse to distributor to retail outlets.


- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives & merchandisers to achieve their goals.


- Marketing Activities: Planning and execution of marketing activities across territory, deploying POSM on key retail outlets for better visibility of the brand/products.


Required Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Good business acumen and strategic planning abilities.

- Proficiency in market analysis and opportunity identification.

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

- Organizational and planning skills to manage complex sales activities.

- Basic working skills of MS office (Excel, Powerpoint, word)
