Job Title: Area Sales Manager - West

Job Location: Pune/Indore/Ahmedabad

Industry Preference: Automotive / EV

Role Overview:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales performance, dealership operations, and brand experience across the assigned territory. This role plays a critical part in expanding company's footprint while maintaining a premium, tech-led customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Growth:

- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across assigned dealerships/showrooms

- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals

- Monitor conversion ratios from leads - test rides - bookings - deliveries

Dealer & Channel Management:

- Manage and support COCO (Company-Owned, Company-Operated) and dealer-operated stores

- Ensure dealership teams follow company sales processes and brand standards

- Conduct regular store reviews, audits, and performance evaluations

Team Enablement:

- Train and coach Showroom Managers, Sales Executives, and Relationship Managers

- Build high-performing teams with strong focus on customer engagement & closing skills

- Motivate teams through structured feedback and performance tracking

Customer Experience:

- Ensure a premium, consistent, and technology-driven buying experience

- Resolve escalations related to sales, delivery timelines, and customer expectations

- Act as the regional face of the brand for key customers and partners

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

- Track competition, pricing, schemes, and EV market trends

- Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasts

- Share insights to improve product positioning and regional campaigns

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of automotive or EV sales cycles

- Proven experience in dealer network management

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

- Data-driven mindset with strong MIS and CRM usage

- Passion for electric mobility, technology, and premium brands

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience with premium automotive, EV startups, or lifestyle retail brands

- Exposure to launching new markets or scaling regions

- Comfortable with extensive regional travel

- Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership mentality
