Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, dealer performance, and channel expansion across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing dealer relationships, coaching dealer sales teams, analyzing market trends, and ensuring effective execution of sales and service strategies. The role requires strong territory management, negotiation, forecasting, and channel development capabilities, along with the ability to use sales tools and data-driven insights to improve performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales closure by negotiating effectively, influencing stakeholders, and applying sales tools and techniques to improve conversion rates.
- Train, coach, and motivate dealer sales teams to achieve business targets and improve sales effectiveness.
- Analyze local market trends, demand drivers, competitor strategies, and territory potential to develop area and state-level sales plans.
- Review sales performance through weekly and monthly business reviews and implement corrective action plans to improve outcomes.
- Evaluate CR, HR, win-loss trends, and sales funnel performance to strengthen forecasting and sales execution.
- Use sales systems and tools effectively across the sales cycle to improve dealer and territory-level productivity.
- Generate additional leads and enquiries by leveraging enquiry data, market intelligence, and professional networks.
- Segment prospects and non-prospects accurately and maintain clean, high-quality enquiry data in sales systems.
- Assess territory topography, demographics, market potential, and channel capability to support network planning and expansion.
- Identify opportunities for channel restructuring, dealer expansion, and improved market coverage.
- Manage dealer appointment processes by evaluating business strength, financial health, social background, and partnership potential.
- Assess training needs across dealer teams and organize relevant capability-building programs.
- Monitor service vertical opportunities and guide dealers on improving service absorption ratio through cost-effective practices.
- Understand warranty processes and support settlement standards to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
