Area Credit Manager - BFSI

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of credit officers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure efficient and effective credit appraisal processes.

- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of loan applications, analyzing financial statements, market trends, and collateral valuations to determine creditworthiness.

- Approve or reject loan applications within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with established credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

- Monitor portfolio performance, identifying early warning signals and implementing corrective actions to mitigate credit risk and minimize delinquencies.

- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies for business growth while maintaining a healthy portfolio quality.

- Conduct regular audits of branch credit operations to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management to continuously improve the credit appraisal process.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including branch managers, sales teams, and risk management teams.
