KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume leadership role to manage and execute research projects covering area such as: - Fundamental and quantitative research across equity and corporate finance (investment banking & private equity)
- Other areas addressing specific client requests and compiling diagnostic / strategic analytical studies / thematic white papers, research / analysis in number of areas
- Preparing research notes on companies / sectors / themes as mandated by clients or by Aranca's original research team
- Responsible for developing internal methodologies and helping in developing training modules and process improvement initiatives
- Operational responsibility for project teams, including review of & guidance to teams and QC on projects, ensuring high scores on customer satisfaction surveys
- Responsible for addressing ongoing people management issues of utilization and productivity of team members
- Responsible for helping provide team members with a clear career path and effective guidance and coaching
- Manage client relationships, and assist management team in identifying / developing opportunities to grow the relationship
- Work closely with management team in developing and implementing strategies for new business lines, in business development support and in managing the company's growth
- Display Aranca's capabilities on various platforms to prospective and existing clients
IB/PE DOMAIN EXPERTIZE:
Advanced Financial Modelling & Deal Analytics
- LBO modelling (leveraged financing, debt schedules, cash sweep, exit IRR/MOIC)
- M&A merger modelling (accretion/dilution, synergies, goodwill, purchase price allocation)
- 3-statement fully linked operating models with sensitivities & scenarios
- Valuation frameworks: DCF, SOTP, Precedent Transactions, Public Comps, NAV, Residual income
- Fund-level modelling: waterfall, GP/LP carry, fee structures, DPI/TVPI/MOIC attribution
- Cap table & dilution modelling (convertibles, warrants, SAFE, ESOP pools)
Deal Execution Intelligence (End-to-End IB Process):
- Understanding of full deal lifecycle
- Ability to review and guide creation of sell-side/buy-side materials (pitchbooks, teasers, CIMs)
- Familiarity with QofE, legal DD, commercial DD, market sizing, synergy modelling
- Experience supporting / reviewing industry landscape mapping, competitor deep dives, thematic theses
- Familiarity with deal structuring (asset sale vs. stock sale, earnouts, rollover equity, etc.)
Investment Research Deliverable Mastery:
- Comps benchmarking dashboards (trading & transaction comps)
- KPI benchmarking across sectors (SaaS metrics, unit economics, bank ratios, EPC capacity metrics, etc.)
- Target screening + deal sourcing frameworks (filters, scorecards, strategic fit mapping)
- Investment memos / IC notes / deal thesis write-ups
- Sector & sub-sector research: TAM, value chains, margin curves, regulatory catalysts, valuation drivers
Capital Markets & Structuring Knowledge:
- Understanding of IPO process, listing requirements, FPO, SPAC, PIPE, convertibles, rights issue, etc.
- Debt financing knowledge: leveraged loans, HY bonds, mezzanine, covenants, rating drivers
- Basic familiarity with structured products, equity-linked instruments, options for capital stack optimization
- Knowledge of private capital market fundraising mechanics (seed - Series C - pre-IPO - secondary) PE-Specific Expertise
- Portfolio monitoring & value-creation dashboards (KPIs, bridge analysis, margin uplift)
- Fund economics, fee structures, hurdle rate logic, IRR attribution
- Understanding of PE investment themes & sector plays (buy-and-build, carve-outs, distressed, growth equity) Data & Research Tool Proficiency Must be excellent at both usage & coaching others on key databases like CapIQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Refinitiv, Bloomberg
