Description:
Sr. Content Team Lead
Experience: 6-8 Years
Industry: Digital Marketing / Advertising / Creative Agency
Role Summary
The Sr. Content Team Lead is a strategic and creative powerhouse responsible for elevating the brands voice through high-performance storytelling and rigorous editorial standards. This role demands a mix of high-level team management and "hands-on" technical content execution. You will lead a team of writers to produce original, research-backed content for diverse platforms including high-authority guest posts, blogs, and core website assets. Working cross-functionally with SEO, Design, and Marketing teams, you will ensure that every piece of content is not only visually stunning and search-engine optimized but also serves the broader business goal of capturing audience attention and addressing market gaps. You are the final gatekeeper of brand consistency, responsible for polishing, proofreading, and revamping content to keep it "current-time appropriate" and "best-in-class."
Responsibilities
- Editorial Leadership & Team Handling: Manage and mentor a team of content creators, providing creative direction and technical guidance to ensure high-performance output across all projects.
- Deep-Dive Industry Research: Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics to develop original, thought-leadership content that positions the brand as an authority.
- Multi-Platform Content Development: Oversee the end-to-end creation of blogs, long-form guest post articles, and technical website copy.
- Brand Governance: Enforce strict brand consistency across all touchpoints, managing the alignment of style, fonts, imagery, and brand tone.
- SEO Orchestration: Partner with the SEO team to implement keyword strategies, meta-tagging, and internal linking structures to make all articles search-engine friendly.
- Visual Storytelling Coordination: Collaborate with the design team to brief and illustrate articles, ensuring that visuals enhance the narrative and improve user engagement.
- Marketing & Campaign Strategy: Support the marketing team in drafting high-conversion copy for advertising campaigns and lead-generation funnels.
- Quality Assurance & Polishing: Execute rigorous proofreading and editing to eliminate inconsistencies and improve readability through advanced linguistic polishing.
- Content Gap Analysis: Identify unmet customer needs through data and research, recommending new content pillars to address gaps in the current content repository.
- Lifecycle Content Revamping: Periodically audit and revamp legacy content to ensure it remains informative, accurate, and optimized for current-time trends and search algorithms.
- Copywriting Mastery: Craft compelling, high-CTR headlines and body copy designed to capture and hold the attention of specific target demographics.
Technical Requirements
- 6-8 years of professional experience in content writing and editorial management, preferably within a creative or design agency.
- Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing a content team and coordinating with cross-functional departments (SEO, Design, Marketing).
- SEO Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of SEO content principles, including keyword integration, readability scores, and semantic search optimization.
- Editorial Excellence: Mastery of grammar, style guides (AP, Chicago, etc.), and advanced editing techniques to improve content flow and clarity.
- Strategic Copywriting: Strong ability to write for different personas, moving seamlessly between informative blog tones and high-intent advertising copy.
- Tools & Analytics: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs), and project management software.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for articulating creative concepts and delivering constructive feedback.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2C and B2B content strategy with a focus on high-growth industries.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret content performance metrics and pivot strategies accordingly.
- Creative mindset with the ability to "think outside the box" for headline generation and campaign hooks.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining "Zero-Error" quality standards.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools and the ability to integrate them into a human-led editorial process.
