Apollo Hospitals - Lead - Billing

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Lead to lead and manage the hospital's billing operations across OPD (Outpatient), IPD (Inpatient - Cash & Credit Billing), Emergency Billing & IP Admission / Estimate Desk). The role demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of hospital billing practices, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. OPD & IPD Billing Management

- Ensure timely and accurate billing for all outpatient and inpatient services for Cash as well as credit

- Thorough understanding about credit Billing process (TPA / Corporate / Govt Schemes)

- Supervise the preparation, verification, and processing of patient bills.

- Coordinate with medical, nursing, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments for completeness of billing.

- Responsible for daily collection of all cash bills

2. Revenue Cycle & Audit Compliance

- Monitor and improve the hospital revenue with proper billig

- Tariff management and to make sure it is configured correctly with the help of IT team

- Conduct periodic audits to ensure billing accuracy and prevent revenue leakage.

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards.

3. Team Management & Training

- Supervise, train, and motivate the billing team to ensure high efficiency and accountability.

- Should be able to manage team size of 60-70 members

- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance through KPIs and reports.

- Implement SOPs and continuous improvements in billing processes.

4. Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing and collection reports.

- Report outstanding dues, TPA receivables, and aging analysis to senior management.

- Present insights for revenue improvement and operational efficiency.
