Apna Mart - Lead/Senior Manager - Finance Controlling

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead/Senior Manager - Finance Controlling to oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

The role demands a proactive professional who can strengthen internal controls, support strategic decision-making, and ensure financial accuracy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Counsel.

- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and periodic variance analysis.

- Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and compliance reports.

- Research and resolve technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely closures.

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Develop, document, and continuously improve business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

- Handle additional Controller duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Deep understanding of accounting principles (IND AS, IFRS, or GAAP).

- Expertise in Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Compliance.

- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel capabilities.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

- High attention to detail with a commitment to process excellence and timelines.

Qualifications:

- CA / CMA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.

- 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance controlling, accounting, and regulatory reporting.

- Prior experience in a fast-paced Retail, FMCG, or E-commerce environment preferred.

- Strong team management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
