Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Business Development Manager - Export Markets to lead AOKI's expansion into key international territories including Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in B2B international sales, strong market understanding, and a proven track record of building long-term commercial partnerships in overseas markets.
This is a senior-level role requiring strategic thinking, execution strength, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
International Market Development
- Identify high-potential export markets for premium e-bicycles, using competitor intelligence and market data.
- Build go-to-market strategies for each region, aligned with local regulatory, pricing, and consumer dynamics.
B2B Business Development & Partnership Management
- Develop and manage a pipeline of importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains across target geographies.
- Lead the entire sales cycle - from lead generation and pitch to commercial negotiation and closure.
- Represent AOKI at global trade expos, B2B buyer-seller meets, and virtual events.
Export Operations & Enablement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure export readiness: compliance, certifications (e.g., CE, EN15194, UL), and logistics.
- Work with supply chain and finance to define pricing, Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDP), and credit/payment terms.
Performance Management
- Monitor and track sales funnel performance, conversion ratios, and partner health.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams based on partner inputs and regional preferences.
Key Requirements
- 5-10 years of international business development experience in B2B hardware/electronics/e-mobility or automotive sectors.
- Proven success in developing distributor/partner networks in at least one major region (Europe, North America, or GCC).
- Strong understanding of international trade logistics, Incoterms, export documentation, and compliance.
- Commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally for trade fairs, client visits, and market development.
