Analyst - Rating Segment - Financial Services

The role is primarily responsible for assessing credit worthiness of companies through business and financial statement analysis, discussion with management team, preparing rating reports and presentation to internal committee for assigning/reviewing credit rating

- Provide subject matter expertise to the team and is responsible for handling complex reports

- Contribute to sector research

Key Responsibilities

- Analysing financial statements, business performance and trend analysis for assessing the credit worthiness of the company

- Independently handling rating assignments for entities of varying sizes and preparing reports and rationale for the assigned ratings

- Preparing rating report by including profile of the rated company, key rating considerations, credit risk assessment, ratio analysis, financial projection/modelling, operational & industry analysis

- Analysing the corporate structure, business and revenue models, identifying strengths, weakness, risks of financial services companies

- Conducting research on the industry in which the company is operating and keeping track of the performance of the industry as a whole

- Adhering to standard operating procedure & policies

- Ensuring quality check of the work deliverables

- Assist/collaborate with other analysts in areas related to credit evaluation and monitoring

Job Requirements

Experience

- 0-3 years of experience of analyzing entities, preferably Banks, Financial Institutions, Non-Bank Finance Companies, Housing Finance Companies and Microfinance Institutions.

Functional Competencies

- Ability to analyze financial statements and financial modeling.

- Good understanding of Indian financial sector.
