Analyst - Payment Operations - FinTech Solutions

We are looking for a detail-oriented and execution-driven Payment Operations Analyst to manage and optimize end-to-end payment workflows across multiple payment rails. This role requires hands-on experience in high-volume payment environments, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payment processing.

Key Responsibilities :

- The role involves managing end-to-end payment operations including transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation. The candidate will be responsible for performing daily transaction-level reconciliation and ensuring timely merchant settlements and payouts.

- Monitoring payment performance across different rails such as UPI, cards, netbanking, and wallets will be a key responsibility, along with tracking success rates, failure rates, and turnaround times.

- The candidate will investigate and resolve payment failures, stuck transactions, refunds, and chargebacks, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.

- Close coordination with banks, payment gateways, and internal teams such as product, technology, and support will be required to drive issue resolution.

- The role also includes managing merchant and customer escalations within defined SLAs.

- In addition, the candidate will be expected to build and maintain MIS reports and dashboards to track operational performance, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Must-Have Requirements :

- The ideal candidate should have 4 to 8 years of experience in payment operations within fintech, e-commerce, or similar high-volume environments.

- They should have hands-on experience working with payment rails such as UPI, cards, payment gateways, wallets, or netbanking. Strong experience in reconciliation, settlements, and payout management is essential, along with the ability to handle high transaction volumes and operational workflows.

- The candidate should have experience in handling payment failures, refunds, and escalations, and must possess strong Excel skills, with SQL being an added advantage. The ability to work with multiple stakeholders and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in this role.

Good-to-Have :

- Experience in fintech startups or high-growth environments will be an advantage.

- Exposure to chargebacks, disputes, and fraud handling is preferred. Familiarity with automation tools or dashboards such as SQL, Python, or Power BI will be beneficial.
