What this role is:
Transition Partners is being built by people who left big-firm consulting and went into the arena. Weve run teams, owned P&Ls, shipped changes, and lived with the consequences. We believe that strategy only matters when it survives execution.
As an Analyst, you do the analytical work that makes the engagement credible. You dont produce slides. You produce the thinking behind them.
Your mandate:
Turn complex, messy problems into clean analysis that holds up in the room with a CXO.
What you will do:
Build the analytical backbone of the engagement:
- Financial models, business cases, market sizing, and scenario analysis that are precise enough to anchor decisions.
Own your workstreams with minimal supervision:
- Take a defined problem, structure the approach, execute it, and deliver something the Project Lead can send to the client.
Synthesise fast and communicate clearly:
- Short, sharp outputs. The insight in three slides, not thirty. Logic that a sceptical senior executive can challenge.
Use AI as a productivity multiplier:
- Automate data pulls, accelerate research cycles, build faster. You are expected to work faster and better than a traditional analyst because of the tools available to you.
Support client interactions with substance:
- You may not run the room, but you are expected to know your analysis cold and answer questions on it directly.
How we work:
- Autonomy is real. If you need constant direction on how to structure your work, this wont fit.
- We don't reward long hours for their own sake. Output quality is what matters.
- We don't do thrash. If the problem changes, we re-scope and reset we dont redo work silently.
- Mistakes are fine once. Repeating them is not.
What good looks like:
- The Project Lead trusts your numbers without re-checking them.
- Your analysis survives a challenge from a client CXO.
- You identify the issue in the data before someone else does.
- You turn around a clean deliverable without being asked twice.
- You get sharper on every engagement.
Who this is for:
- 2-5 years in top-tier consulting, investment banking, or a rigorous analytical role at a high-growth company.
- Youve done real analytical work, not just formatting.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and dont wait to be told what to do next.
- You are fluent with modern AI tools and use them to do better work, not just faster work.
- You want to understand how businesses actually run, not just advise from a distance.
Compensation:
Compensation reflects the quality and ownership this role demands. We will share specifics in the first conversation.
Why people join Transition Partners (and stay):
- Steep learning curve: you work on real problems with real consequences.
- Ownership: your analysis drives decisions, not just decks.
- Sane intensity: predictable cadence, spikes when required, no permanent fire drills.
- Culture: low politics, low thrash, high standards.
