Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-caliber Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our finance team in Gurugram, specifically tailored for professionals with a strong background in the Retail or FMCG sectors. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring that financial plans align with the company's long-term growth objectives. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organization and influencing high-stakes decision-making processes in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes by partnering with department heads to ensure accurate resource allocation and alignment with corporate financial targets.
- Conduct deep-dive variance analysis to identify the root causes of performance deviations, providing management with clear explanations and recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate new store performance, product category profitability, and supply chain cost structures to support strategic expansion.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reports that highlight key performance indicators and financial trends to facilitate informed decision-making by the leadership team.
- Monitor working capital and cash flow metrics to ensure the business maintains optimal liquidity levels while supporting aggressive growth initiatives in the FMCG market.
Required Skillset:
- Possess advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, executive-level presentations.
- Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with the capability to perform rigorous variance analysis and identify underlying business drivers within the retail or FMCG landscape.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively influence stakeholders and bridge the gap between financial data and operational strategy.
- Hold a professional degree such as CA, MBA (Finance), or CFA, complemented by 4 to 9 years of relevant experience in a high-growth retail or FMCG organization.
- Thrive in a collaborative, on-site work environment in Gurugram, showing the adaptability to manage multiple competing priorities under tight reporting deadlines.
