Analyst / Data Lead / MIS Lead - Global Logistics
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and managing a logistics analytics framework that improves visibility, strengthens performance tracking, and supports cost optimization.
- Develops and updates dashboards for KPIs such as OTIF, dwell time, transit lead times, and logistics cost metrics.
- Monitors SLA adherence between Central Logistics and all Business Units.
- Analysis domestic and international freight spend, duty structures, lane utilization, consolidation opportunities, and overall route efficiency.
- Creates freight benchmarking tools and lane-wise cost comparison models to support vendor negotiations.
- Owns logistics master data including lanes, locations, carriers, cost elements, and hierarchy structures.
- Ensures accuracy, consistency, and timely updates of logistics data across the organization.
- Standardizes reporting formats, templates, and documentation practices across Business Units.
- Enhances analytics dashboards using Power BI and advanced Excel.
- Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of TMS and trade compliance systems.
- Works with digital teams to automate reporting workflows and ensure smooth data integration.
- Maintains transporter/carrier scorecards covering SLAs, damages, transit accuracy, and rate compliance.
- Drives quarterly vendor performance review discussions with logistics leadership.
- Builds comparative frameworks for evaluating shipping modes, routes, consolidators, and warehouse performance.
- Collaborates closely with BU logistics teams for data collection, validation, and improvement initiatives.
- Partners with Finance to provide visibility into logistics spend analytics and cost structures.
- Aligns processes with procurement, supply chain planning, operations, and EXIM teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds a bachelors degree in supply chain, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or equivalent; MBA preferred.
- Min. 8 years of experience in logistics analytics, supply chain analytics, or logistics excellence.
- Proficient in Power BI, advanced Excel, SAP/ERP logistics modules, and TMS platforms.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, able to simplify complex datasets into clear insights.
- Demonstrates strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capability.
- Has in-depth knowledge of transportation networks, freight cost structures, and logistics processes.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to drive digital adoption within logistics operations.
