Role Overview:
As an Analyst/Associate in Financial Due Diligence, you will play a critical role in the deal lifecycle, providing deep-dive financial analysis to support high-stakes M&A transactions. You will work closely with private equity firms, corporate acquirers, and cross-functional deal teams to evaluate the quality of earnings, working capital requirements, and net debt positions of target companies. By translating complex financial data into actionable insights, you will directly influence investment decisions and help clients mitigate risks, ensuring they navigate the complexities of deal-making with clarity and confidence. Based in our Mumbai office, this role offers significant exposure to diverse industries and the opportunity to shape the financial narrative of marquee transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements to provide clients with a clear understanding of the target company's historical and projected financial performance.
- Analyze quality of earnings and cash flow trends to identify potential risks and value drivers that impact the final purchase price or deal structure.
- Prepare detailed due diligence reports and executive summaries for senior stakeholders, ensuring all findings are articulated with precision and strategic foresight.
- Collaborate with tax, legal, and operational teams to ensure a holistic view of the transaction, facilitating a seamless integration process for the client.
- Manage data requests and maintain open communication with target company management to ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information throughout the deal process.
- Involved in fundraising and have the responsibility of managing the Investor relations.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in financial statement analysis, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and the ability to identify anomalies in complex datasets.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with client management teams and effectively communicate findings to senior-level stakeholders.
- Possess a proactive mindset, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment typical of Mumbais deal-making landscape.
- Hold a professional qualification such as CA, CFA, or an MBA from a premier institute, which provides the foundational technical rigor required for this role.
