Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate IT Lead - SAP ABAP professional with 10 to 22 years of experience in SAP delivery, preferably within the pharma industry or IT services organizations. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in SAP ABAP with leadership skills to drive enterprise-scale transformation programs, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP ABAP development teams across multiple modules (SD, MM, QM, EWM, FI/CO, PP, etc.)

- Define and enforce coding standards, performance optimization, and extensibility best practices

- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions

- Drive design, development, and deployment of ABAP objects, CDS views, OData services, and Fiori integration

- Ensure compliance with pharma industry regulations (GxP, FDA, SOX) and IT audit requirements

- Manage delivery timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication

- Oversee integration with middleware platforms (SAP CPI/PI, third-party systems)

- Provide technical leadership in S/4HANA transformation programs, including upgrades and migrations

- Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Expertise

- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)

- Experience with modern ABAP development (CDS, AMDP, RAP, Fiori/UI5 integration)

- Proven track record in SAP S/4HANA implementations

- Deep understanding of pharma industry compliance frameworks and IT service delivery models

- Strong knowledge of SAP extensibility options and minimizing custom development

- Excellent communication skills for executive and stakeholder engagement

- Ability to manage large teams and complex delivery programs

Qualifications

- Minimum Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university (any discipline)

- 10 to 17 years of relevant SAP ABAP experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Preferred Background

- Experience in pharma industry ERP programs with GxP validation

- Exposure to IT services delivery models and global client engagements

- Familiarity with agile delivery, DevOps, and CI/CD practices in SAP environments
