Job Description (Primary Responsibilities):

- Perform financial analysis and build financial models for strategic acquisition opportunities

- Optimize portfolio performance by identifying rental assets that should be marked for sale

- Develop detailed and comprehensive presentations on market trends and strategic insights for senior management to support investment decisions across the organization

- Underwrite and monitor the rental market to evaluate existing portfolio performance and support revenue management strategies across various regions within Amherst's 45,000+ homes portfolio

- Collaborate with internal teams and operating partners to drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving margins and returns

Desired Skills / Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree and MBA/CFA with financial markets understanding a plus

- Experience: 1-4 years of prior experience in Financial Services and/or Real Estate firm preferred. Highly analytical mindset.

- Technical: Advanced skills in SQL, Tableau, MS Office Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience in using Yardi, Power BI preferred.

- Proven high performer with a demonstrated track record of academic and/or professional excellence

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

- Highly detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, highintensity environment

- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality outputs

- Demonstrated enthusiasm for working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment
