ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this vital role you will serve as the Category Manager for commercial and clinical distribution. Reporting to the Amgen India Direct Lead, you will support the category and sourcing strategy for distribution category. This includes category management strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contracts management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute category strategies and initiatives to drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk management.

- Utilize data analytics tools to generate insights, create reports, and support strategic decision-making.

- Develop contract requirements with business partners, including clear scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines and consequences for failure to perform.

- Manage supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management (end to end) to ensure best-in-class procurement practices.

- Draft and negotiate high volume of contracts in time sensitive environment.

- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align sourcing & category strategies with business objectives.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, risk mitigation strategies, and sustainability initiatives.

- Work closely with the Procurement Commercial Category team to ensure sourcing execution alignment with the overall procurement strategy.

- Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Leadership:

- Guide and facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders.

- Ensure that all distribution category procurement activities are managed in compliance with regulatory, contractual, and operational risk requirements.

- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing peers to oversee the strategic approach to complex negotiations for contracts.

- Responsible for delivering results aligned to financial targets set by the Category Team.

Functional Skills:

- Proven Strategic Sourcing & Category Management experience.

- Demonstrated leadership in category management and strategic sourcing.

- Strong Supplier Negotiation skills.

- Experience with Global Procurement e-Sourcing and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Tools.

- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating agreements.

- Project Management Experience.

Basic Qualifications:

- 12-17 Years of experience.

- At least 2 years of managerial experience.
