ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Strategic Sourcing Senior Associate will play a key role executing sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, category strategy, and negotiation requirements for Customer Engagement business stakeholders. This includes leading sourcing initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and enabling third-party solutions that enhance AMGEN spend management.

The role will apply strong financial and analytical acumen to evaluate supplier proposals, pricing structures, spend and market data, business requirements, and sourcing scenarios to support fact-based recommendations and maximize value.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Drive Sourcing events, on behalf of Amgen, delivering world class procurement services.

- Partner with Category Management and Business Partners to identify and build sourcing initiatives based on opportunities.

- Deliver cost efficiencies, improved speed-to-market, and supplier innovation.

- Lead projects through sourcing events, vendor negotiations, and contract development for categories under the scope.

- Proactively help to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for the organization.

- Escalate issues through the sponsorship spine.

Basic Qualifications:

- Master's degree and 4 - 6 years of business partnering, category management, strategic sourcing and/or related experience, OR

- Bachelor's degree and 8 - 10 years of business partnering, category management, strategic sourcing and/or related experience.
