The Operational Excellence team is a key partner to the Staff Groups and provides thought leadership to identify, measure, assess, report, monitor and control operational risk exposures facing American Express. This framework consists of several core components grouped into pillars: risk assessment, business and environmental internal control factors and reporting & monitoring.   Job Responsibilities : This position reports to the Director, Staff Group Operational Excellence - Issue Management, whose main responsibilities is to manage business partner relationships, drive the oversight and governance of the operational risk framework within the Staff Group as it pertains to Operational Risk Events and provide Operational Excellence expertise to Staff Group teams on issue management as it relates to the framework and control rating metrics.   Under the guidance of the Director, Staff Group Operational Excellence - Issue Management, this role will:   - Support Staff Group's execution of the company's operational risk framework, ensuring consistency and compliance with the requirements of the Enterprise-wide Operational Risk Policy and related guidance.   - Provide advice and guidance to ensure effective and efficient issue management is implemented in the Staff Groups.   - Support Staff Group business partners in raising, verifying and dimensioning financial impacts in line with control rating metrics. Support the development of action plans to remediate and mitigate root causes.   - Be conversant with the ORGG Operational Risk Event Guidance and control rating metrics.   - Support the effectiveness of business area risk management programs through appropriate cultural leadership to execute a sound risk management program.  Qualifications :   - 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting, Program/Project Management, and related Control function responsibilities or Business/Operations functions within the Banking or financial services industries.   - Post Graduate / MBA / CA / CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.   - Strong analytical capabilities and willingness to question the status quo.   - Ability to clearly communicate operational risk requirements and work proactively with business partners to meet all deadlines associated with operational risk events.   - Strong presentation skills, particularly in the development of professional and insightful messaging across levels of management.   - Must have the ability to influence outcomes and build strong relationships.   Job type- Full Time  Industry Type - Operations   The Apply Button will redirect you to website.
