About the team : The India Commercial Product team is responsible for leading, innovating and driving the Commercial Product portfolio, including Medium, Large and Global products. Working with a wide spectrum of internal and external partners, this individual will ensure delivery of exceptional customer solutions. There is a strong collaboration component to this role as this role will work closely with the Sales team, Marketing, Servicing, Central teams, Finance, Compliance and Consumer. This position requires a unique blend of business knowledge, technical and regulatory understanding, strategic and innovative thinking plus a good understanding of the payments industry and its players both leading & emerging across India. Job Description : An excellent opportunity has emerged for a Senior Manager - Product role, reporting to the Head of Product in Commercial Business India at American Express. This individual will be responsible for new product development and capability/product refreshes to drive and support billing for American Express India's Corporate Clients and Cardmembers. Key Responsibilities : - Continuously innovating and bringing new solutions to the market to support billings. This includes the launch of both new and revitalized products. - Sustain a strong understanding of the payments industry and regulatory environment whilst executing projects that will ensure our market readiness and enhance the competitive advantage of our Corporate products. - Maintain a critical financial lens on portfolio economics; identify and implement significant margin enhancement opportunities while concurrently balancing customer value. - Partner with Global Service Group, Sales Organization, Marketing, Technology, Compliance, Legal and Risk teams to ensure coordinated and superior delivery of commercial products. - Develop deep networks with central teams and both international and U.S. markets to leverage learnings, partnerships, and product benefits. - Drive regulatory initiatives that has direct impact on Product features. Qualification and Skills : - Graduation in any discipline; MBA / post-graduation in business / marketing from top B-schools preferred - At least 7-8 years of Product experience required in a large size company and preferably in a SME/Business product - Results oriented and good project management skills with previous people leadership experience preferable - Understanding of financial services, particularly India Corporate and SME sector would be an asset - Analytical and data driven, but also have a passion for creativity and forward-thinking - Understanding of consumer perspective and ability to effectively analyze customer data to create insight-led product improvement ideas - Team player with excellent communication skills to work with colleague across business lines, time zones and geographies - Self-motivator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
