Description : In this role, the manager will report to the Director of JAPA CSC (Benefit Operations) based in India. The manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency of JAPA GC&B operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. The role will ensure that colleagues are provided the highest level of service by our benefits vendors. The manager will provide leadership and positively influence team members. The manager will also provide in-depth root cause analysis to identify underperforming JAPA segments and provide guidance to team members for developing and executing. performance improvement strategies. This role will also be responsible for working with different stakeholders internally and externally in additional to ensuring smooth execution of deliverables on daily basis related to Benefits Operations. Responsibilities : - Support and execute the implementation and communication strategy of local plans - Act as the center of expertise for team members and the HR Business partner's community, regarding AXP program practices and policies - Work closely to support and manage JAPA vendor relationships - Assist business unit HR Business Partners, Leaders and other American Express teams with operation needs - Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the JAPA operations team - Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions - Ensures that operations work properly to meet legislative and regulatory requirements in JAPA region - Provide support to internal partners (tax, controllership) related to JAPA - Act as an internal consultant to JAPA and Global teams - Confirm that plan governance materials are fully developed for JAPA to ensure effective oversight - Oversee Colleague benefits programs in the JAPA region - Work on Oracle and other account management processes to ensure control around the vendor payments and accounting process. - Handling of invoice payments via Stream, Oracle, CPC and other manual modes and ensuring strong governance, controls and timely payments. - Responsible for completing audit & internal reviews for Benefits Operations across JAPA. - Query management and responsible for timely action of all the queries with 100% quality across JAPA markets. - Manage TRM assignments, PRSAs and support audit for various JAPA benefits - Work with CTRW team in launching new benefits, change management, communications. - Preparation of monthly Dashboard & monthly analytics for Monthly, Quarterly or Annual reviews.. - Proven use of Project Management principles and disciplines - Highly professional with established relationship building skills - Strong problem solving and highly developed reasoning skills - Proven leadership skills and developing talent Qualification and Experience : - Over 10 years preferable in human resources in addition to accounting and benefits experience - Strong analytical and presentation skills with experience in dealing, presenting and handling reviews with senior leaders. - Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail - Ability to be flexible in a collaborative work environment - Strong time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
